What is a Second Chance Offer on eBay?
If your auction ends, and your winning bidder does not follow through, or you happen to have more than one identical item to sell, you can send other bidders in that auction a second chance offer.
With a second chance offer, you do not have to offer it to all underbidders - you can pick and choose which ones you would like to offer it to.
eBay offers this service for free - you only have to pay eBay any fees if the offer is accepted, and you then will have to pay final value fee. If you have many of the same items, it is a great way to save on listing fees.
You can make a second chance offer immediately after the auction ends, and up to 60 days after the auction ends.
To make an offer, go to your auction page for the item, and you will find a link for "Make a Second Chance Offer". Click the link, and it will lead you through the process to make one or more offers to your auction's underbidders.
